• "E.F.Benson Remembered, and the World of Tilling" by Cynthia and Tony Reavell (Martello Bookshop 1984, revised 1991) - tells the story of Fred from the memories of those who lived and worked with him.  Features a preface by Sir Stephen Runciman, and a number of exclusive pictures, (including  a map of 'Tilling'!)
• 'E.F.Benson; As He Was" by Geoffrey Palmer and Noel Lloyd (Lennard Publishing 1998) - an affectionate biography from authors who are obviously fans; preface by Cynthia Reavell (of the Tilling Society)
• "The Life of E.F.Benson" by Brian Masters (Chatto & Windus1991) - a more critical look at Fred's life and work
• "E.F.Benson as Mayor of Rye 1934-37" Compiled by Cynthia Reavell.  A collections of articles and photographs featuring Fred as Mayor; taken from the local newspaper, "The Sussex Express"

A, in places, rather harsh look at the whole Benson family, not just Fred (though he does dominate the latter part of the book, due to his being the last member of the family to pass away.)
